Renee Rapp - ‘Bite Me’ Tour Brisbane 27/01/26

This just may have been the most highly anticipaited tour of the year, Renee Rapp’s first time down under for her ‘Bite Me’ tour. This tour comes with the great acheivement not many international acts get, an arena sized tour first time ‘round. Performing at Brisbane’s Riverstage and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion as well as Melbourne’s John Cain Arena for the Australian Open (Tennis).

One thing is clear - the fans love Renee fiercely and I can see why. A multi-talented artist, proud lesbian and outspoken woman for all the right reasons. A few minutes before Renee was set to take the stage a pre-recorded message played where she spoke about how their are children experiencing war, hunger, natural disasters and poverty around the globe, acknowledging Palestine, Congo and Sudan. Encouraging fans to donate to ‘Save the Children’ and support their cause to “protect children from harm and help them access quality education and health services”. Renee is donating money herself through specific merch sales avalible on her website and other proceeds.

Renee kicked off the show with powerhouse “Leave Me Alone” playing ‘Bite Me’ in it’s entirety (jumbled) featuring her other biggest hits “Talk Too Much”, “Tummy Hurts”, “In the Kitchen”, “Snow Angel” and “Not My Fault”. A couple of songs off Renee’s 2023 album ‘Snow Angel’, “Poison Poison”, “Swim” and “Pretty Girls” also got a well deserved place in the setlist.

Renee’s show provided a refreshing, safe space for queer and non-gender conforming people with many taking the chance to try and find a new love interest amongst the crowd.

Having seen multiple videos across my FYP (on TikTok) of fans sobbing after the shows, I can only hope Renee will be back soon to fill our buckets again.
